A native Californian, Oseana Bratton began her nursing career as a student at San Diego State University. She obtained her BSN, Cum Laude in May 2007. While in school she had opportunities to extern in various departments and quickly fell in love with pediatric emergency medicine! She was accepted into the new graduate program at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego where she worked for 10 years as a Pediatric Emergency/Trauma nurse. She spent her last 2 years at RCHSD on the Emergency Department management team as a clinical nurse supervisor. Oseana has also attended the Wound, Ostomy, & Continence Nurse course at Emory University in Atlanta,  GA. She spent a combined 2.5 years working per diem in an adult Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine.

In October 2016, Oseana followed her love for pediatrics and emergency medicine all the way to Knoxville, TN where she accepted the position as CRPC & Trauma Coordinator at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. In her role of CRPC coordinator, Oseana is excited to focus her attention on pediatric pre-hospital education in the East Tennessee regions. She is passionate about ensuring seamless pediatric emergency care and preparedness by means of education and teamwork.

Oseana has also been a member of various international outreach groups and has helped to provide pediatric health care and education to communities in various countries. She enjoys spending her free time reading, sleeping and playing soccer.

Mary began her nursing career in 2000 as a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, college of nursing. She accepted her first nursing job at Knoxville Pediatric Associates where she worked for 2 years. In 2002 she took her pediatric experience to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital where she spent the next 19 years in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. During her time in the PICU, she precepted many new nurses, acted as charge nurse, and was a part of the Critical Care Transport Team. In May 2021, Mary transitioned to the CRPC outreach team where is providing pediatric education to referral hospitals and pre-hospital medical professionals. She is a BLS, PALS, and ENPC instructor. She is also a longtime member of the hospital ethics committee. Mary is an active member of her community and church. She enjoys cooking and bargain shopping. In her free time, you can find her with her husband and 2 blonde headed daughters.

Erin Gray is a graduate of King University with her BS and has been in EMS for 5 years as a firefighter/paramedic-IC serving Knox County. While she loves fighting fire, her passion is mitigating medical emergencies. She transitioned to her role at ETCH as a CRPC Specialist in 2022 in order to deliver high quality pediatric education to other out of hospital providers. Erin strives for excellence whether caring for patients in the field or through instructing BLS, PALS, ACLS, EPC, AMLS, PHTLS, or serving as an adjunct instructor at a local college for initial licensure of EMS personnel. She is an active member of her church, enjoys working out, and reading. In her free time, you can find her with her husband, 3 kids, and 2 dogs.

John began his EMS career in 1990. He attended the Basic EMT and Paramedic programs at Shelby State Community College. He worked for various EMS agencies as a Paramedic in Shelby County, and served as a preceptor, an EMS supervisor, and Manager of Health and Safety. He also volunteered in Rescue and Law Enforcement during his time as a Paramedic.

He began his Nursing career in 2000 after receiving his AS degree in Nursing from Southwest Tennessee Community College. He came to LeBonheur in October of 2001 as a Seasonal Respiratory Unit RN, working in IMCU (Step down) during the off seasons. He later joined the Float Pool and acclimated to working on most of the inpatient units at the Hospital. He began working as a House Supervisor in 2011, and obtained his BSN from University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in May 2016. He assumed the role of CRPC coordinator in November 2016.

John is married and has three children and four grandchildren. He enjoys playing music, amateur radio, aviation, and spending time with his family.

Lee Blair came to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in April 2001 and transferred to the Children's Hospital in the Fall of 2007, where he currently serves as the Program Manager for the CRPC Outreach Team.

As a healthcare provider in Middle Tennessee for over twenty years (including five years with LifeFlight), Lee is known throughout the community.

Prior to his Vanderbilt tenure, Lee held a variety of prehospital and hospital positions in Middle Tennessee including field paramedic, director of a special prehospital rescue team, deputy coroner, president of the student nursing body, emergency department staff nurse, and charge nurse. Throughout his career, Lee has enjoyed helping new staff acclimate to their roles by acting as a preceptor and conducting orientations for the emergency department and flight program.

In addition to his many certifications, Lee is also an instructor for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. On a personal note, he is the married father of three young daughters and resides in Murfreesboro, TN.

Jennie began her Emergency Medicine career in 2015 caring for adults and pediatrics. She quickly discovered a passion for pediatrics and education. In 2020, she completed a Master’s of Science in Nursing Education. While enjoying the bedside, Jennie was also an Adjunct Nursing Instructor at Austin Peay State University. She taught ED and ICU clinicals, pharmacology, and lectured for the Critical Care Cohort. She is also an instructor for several courses, including ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. While working in the Peds ED at the Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, her passion to advocate for kids was solidified. She joined the CRPC team in January 2022.  

Jennie is from the Kansas City area and is mom to four kids. You can usually find her with a dog at her side exploring various forests, chasing waterfalls, or trying to not flip her kayak.

Jennifer began her nursing career in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Children’s at Erlanger as an ER Tech in 2003 while still in nursing school. Upon completion of her ASN at Southern Adventist University (SAU), Jennifer worked as a staff nurse and relief charge nurse prior to completion of her BSN at SAU in 2010. She then became a Clinical Staff Leader until transitioning to Clinical Education for the ED in 2019. In 2021, Jennifer received her MSN from SAU and assumed the role of CRPC Pediatric Disaster Manager.

During her years of nursing, Jennifer has participated as a preceptor, member of trauma and code committees, ENPC instructor and course director, AHA instructor, and cross-trained to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

She enjoys spending her time away from work with her husband and three children planning school, church, and vacation activities.
